High 5 Games, creators of the top-ranked social application High 5 Casino, announced today a $15,0000 donation to the Humane Society of New York and additional $1,000 donations to Chicago Arts Partnerships in Education, Gulf Restoration Network, and the Houston Food Bank.  The donations, totaling $18,000, were the result of H5G’s second major charitable initiative in as many months.

In the promotion, entitled ‘H5C Gives Back,’ the company enlisted the help of its nearly 2 million active player base to participate in the decision process on Facebook. Players were presented with four different U.S.-based organizations, each representing a different non-profit sector, and asked to vote for the one to receive the top donation amount.

The campaign which ran from Dec. 9 through Dec. 19, allowed players to choose between Chicago Arts Partnerships in Education which works to partner professional artists with public school teachers; the Gulf Restoration Network which fights to clean and maintain the Gulf Coast ecosystem; the Houston Food Bank, the largest food bank in America based on the amount of meals distributed; and the Humane Society of NY which has been working for over a century to help animals in need.

H5G’s $18,000 donation comes just one month after a $10,000 donation the company made to the American Red Cross to aid victims of Typhoon Haiyan.
